this unit reviews the common problems a teacher may come across being an ESL teacher. It also goes over what to do in certain situations such as first lessons. For example during the first lesson it is useful to find out the students language level and establish a rapport. Some activities that are useful are questionaires/surveys, pass the ball, and needs analysis. I have learnt that in order to make the students feel comfortable and motivated the teacher should use \"warmers\" such as hangman, pictionary, tongue twisters, and memory games. These activities would be done at the beginning of the class. I have also learnt that when dealing with larger classes it is usefull to use worksheets rather then group activities to make sure every student has participated.
