Unit 11 focuses on teaching receptive skills; reading and listening, which are two of the fundamental skills of the English language. Although we read with our eyes and listen with our ears, there is more to it. We have to use our minds to understand words and process them in order to gain true understanding of what is being said. Unit 11 also focuses on useful teaching techniques and ESA lesson structures with examples on how to use them during the classroom lessons. I've learned a number of important skills in order to make teaching more enjoyable for myself and my students by using a variety of different topics and skills to increase the students' confidence and motivation level.
