In this unit we looked at different methods of teaching. After looking at several different prominent methods, the unit focused on the teaching method this course believes is best. The method settled on is known as ESA, which is short for Engage, Study and Activate. It focuses on how to get all students involved, how to provide controlled practice of language and it's construction, and how to give the students a chance to use the language fluently. It has helped me to understand ways in which I can be flexible while teaching, yet still teach with structure in order to best suit everyone's needs.
