This unit discusses classroom management including how to arrange the classroom, how to maintain control of the classroom, and how to deal with problem behavior. Classroom arrangement depends on things such as classroom size and the availability of chairs. A few examples of ways in which a teacher can maintain control include the use of voice, gestures and the voice. A few different ways to deal with problem behavior include asking a problem student to stay after class and to keep calm and not shout. A few other subjects that were discussed include establishing rapport and reducing teacher talk time.
