This Unit offered some good explanations for each tense. It also reflected some problem areas of students, which I can also confirm according to my experience. The Present Perfect and it's relation to the present is one of the most difficult for students to understand, as they often do not understand the difference between the Simple Past and Present Perfect Tense. Other difficulties appear when teaching the combinbation of Simple Past and Past Perfect, especially when keywords, such as AFTER or BEFORE and not being used in a sentence/exercise. Translating context into their native language does help at times. That way, they can get a better picture of what actions actually happened first.
