This unit shows the differences between authentic and created materials. Both of them are important and have their own merits and minus points. Authentic material may be more useful for students of higher llevels, as it provides the \"real\" language and may be more interesting for specific groups of students. However, with created materials we have many options to choose from. Course books provide us with more security and easier class planning, while it might also be very predictable and boring for some students. It is best to combine both types of materials to create a better studying environment for the class.
