This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
There seven future tenses in the English language: future simple, future progressive, future perfect, future perfect progressive, ?going to? future, present simple and present progressive. The last three are more frequently used than the others. While the present simple and present progressive are normally used in the present, they still have future applications. In addition, this unit discusses teaching ideas for each future tense that can be employed in a lesson. I learned that the future perfect progressive frequently begins sentences with the adverbial expression ?by? to show how long something will have continued by a certain future time. In addition, I learned that while future simple and ?going to? future both uses predictions, the future simple isn?t based on present evidence but ?going to? future is.
