This unit covered the four present tenses; present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous. The tenses were covered in four aspects, the form, usage, errors and activate teaching ideas. For every tense I practiced their affirmative, negative and question forms and then learnt under which circumstances the tense should be used with examples for clarification. Then I was able to identify the common mistakes and errors students make, how to identify the mistake and then correct it. Lastly I learnt the activate stage teaching ideas which were the activities to be carried out during the lesson relevant to each present tense.
