Unit 15 introduces us to the different ways in which to evaluate student levels, progress and preparation for external exams. Formal assessments include tutorials to either be given as whole group or individual assessments, which could consists of revisits of covered material at the end of the week. I particularly like the student evaluation. This is essential in order to ensure that students are understanding and retaining and the language level being covered is appropriate. I have always used review and revise to evaluate myself as an educator and trainer. The student evaluation can help this teacher process immensely. The formal testings, placement, progress, diagnostic and practice are certainly essential. However, I feel that whenever possible, I would choose ongoing observation an it keep students engaged and talking.
