The content of this unit focuses on past tenses. It is specifically described how particular tenses are used, what combinations and/or structures of words it's necessary to use and what are the general rules of certain tenses. From this unit teachers can learn general rules of past tenses and after that be able to nicely present them in the class. Grammar always has to be presented in a clear and understandable way. Without knowledge of grammar, teachers' instructions may be confusing and can lead to some misunderstandings among the students. Knowing grammatical rules increase teachers' confidence thanks to which other factors such as classroom management, classroom rapport are working perfectly in the classroom environment.
