In this section of the course, I learned that using these techniques to help my students understand concepts and meaning. I actually used the Aesop's fables for this in South Korea, one student had to read and speak the words of the fable to their partner who had to listen and write down what they were saying. At the end they had to have all of the words and punctuation correct and then we had a class discussion about what the moral of the fables were. This section of the course stresses the importance of using these skills in ESL teaching and also that incorporating the right nix of these skills helps the students receive the lesson better.
