Unit 16: Conditionals and reported speech provided a great explanation of the five main conditionals. At first I felt they might be overwhelming to understand and teach, but after completing the unit conditionals seem very straightforward. Reported speech is more complex to explain. Reported speech has many opportunities for variation and exceptions. For example you say: reported, said, replied, answered, shouted, responded all in place of the same thing. I find this would be difficult to narrow for an English learner. Teaching reported speech is definitely something I would save for more advanced students.
