The Unit 11 is designed to instruct TEFL teachers on how to teach receptive skills: listening and reading. Although this unit have only discussed receptive skills, it clarified that both: receptive and constructive skills are equally important for students, hence they should be granted the same level of attention. Receptive skills are, in my opinion, the doors for most of the student?s improvement regarding language learning. When you read and listen a lot of a second language, your brain starts to assimilate the L2 to things you have already learnt, thus creating links of great importance for a future situation.
