This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I liked learning more in depth about the different ESA (Engage, Study, and Activate) lessons. This unit also gave me way more ideas for activities. I knew a lot of these activities (like the alphabet relay, my 1st and 2nd grade afterschool class loves that), but like always these lessons have given me more in depth. I teach curriculum for elementary and in the textbook I see these lessons play out in the different ESA styles and I also use the different theories depending on my classes. The younger need a lesson that has more repetition but they also need more engaging and activate lessons as they can't always stay focus on a worksheet for super long.
