This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Being the penultimate lesson, this one which focused on teaching special groups, seemed to be both an added bonus, e.g. teaching business English, as well as a good review of past units about teaching methodology and techniques. I was particularly interested in the unit and found myself taking copious notes as I am primarily interested in teaching business English and eager to learn more about this area of TEFL. The unit was helpful right down to details one might overlook or not consider like exchanging contact information in the event a client needs to cancel, the propensity for a lack of energy in a one-on-one tutorial vs. a class and being sensitive to group dynamics in a company because you never know who's in the room. Also liked the tip about assigning different roles to students during group activities, e.g. language monitor, in order to encourage English to be spoken.
