Unit 7 is about teaching receptive skills, reading and listening. There are two categories for reasons and motives of reading and listening which are for a purpose and for entertainment. Reading and listening also includes your mind to understand words and process them in our pre-existent knowledge to gain true understanding. It's important to use topics that are of interest to the students. I learned that it is important to have a balance of words the students know and don't know in a lesson. That way they are confident because of the words they do know, but they have new words to expand their vocabulary.
