As English is and still remains as the most common language used around the world, teachers might find the nationalities and ages of the students vary quite differently in a class. During the previous lessons of the course, we have focused on how to teach English to adult learners. However, once you have entered the teaching career, teachers might find themselves come across with a lot of students that have different backgrounds, ages and levels.
Generally, we have sorted these specialized groups into the following categories such as beginners, individual students, children, business English or English for specific purpose and students that are monolingual or multilingual. It is important to bear in mind that each sorts of students would require different types of methodologies in class and it is our job t engage students to apply more usage of English and avid using their native languages.
