This unit analyzes the way English should be presented to students in the classroom. An ESL teacher must be able to teach English in a way that is relevant to his/her students age and English level. This unit provides the tools necessary for teachers to successfully introduce new language as well as review previous topics. First 3 phases in a lesson act as guide points for activities, lectures, and or class work. There are many examples given for proper engage, study and activate activities. An important part of teaching of course is correcting student's mistakes and errors. I personally learned the most with this unit thus far in my TEFL studies. This unit provides me with a lesson structure that makes alot of sense, and also flexibility where I thought there wasn't any. I can now confidently build a lesson plan that allows me to improvise if necessary. Also in my current TESOL position I find myself incorrectly correcting my students. I have learned many things to improve my correcting technique as well .
