A while back, I had been asked to fill in for a teacher and teach the difference between the present perfect tense and past simple tense. Needless to say, I created a lesson plan which would take us from point A (past simple tense) all the way to point B (present perfect tense). However, when it was time for me to step in, I was told that I would be co-teaching with another teacher. Thus, my lesson plan was flawed, as I needed to improvise and be more flexible with the lesson plan. After reading and understanding this Unit, I now understand that lesson plans should be flexible so that, in the event that there are changes, these changes can be handled without any problems.
