I learned a lot in Unit 17 about different teaching aids that I can use in the classroom to make the material more interesting for the students. White/black boards (chalk boards) or Wipe boards can be used for most things as writing, drawing, sticking item onto, and projecting the overhead transparencies. They also tend to draw and keep the attention of the students just as do Interactive whiteboards, overhead projectors, visual aids such as pictures, and worksheets/work cards.
Recently, technology plays an enormous role in classroom teaching. However, before using these electronic devices it is important for the teacher to know how to use them, have a pre-prepared lesson for them, know how long each activity will take, and to have a backup plan in cases where the electronic device stops working in the middle of the lesson.
