In this unit I learnt that technology and the use of more visual and audio aids in a lesson can be useful to the teacher in all stages of a lesson, especially in the study and activate phases. Certain equipment can involve the students more in discussion, tools that can encourage participation and student talk time. It is also vital to ensure the training and preparation for the teacher is a requirement as there can be many setbacks to using technology as it always remains unpredictable in usage. It is also important for the teacher to plan lessons and what area (grammar, role plays focusing on fluency etc) to use certain aids to push student talking time or to aid understanding for new vocabulary or communicatin games. Timing, accuracy and simplicity is most vital when using these tools.
