This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
The unit is focused on teaching productive skills (speaking and writing).
New information for me is:
a) that EVERY task should be based on possible students' interests;
b) the clear explanation of the difference between ?accuracy? and ?fluency? (study phase and activate phase); that both ones carry equal importance;
c) the examples of speaking activities in the classroom (controlled and guided activities (commonly for accuracy), creative activities (fluency));
d) that encouraging is absolutely important to force students to speak;
e) the factors a teacher should be focused on when he/she teach how to write (handwriting, spelling, layouts, punctuation);
f) the list of games that are intresting even for teachers!
As usual, all examples represented in the unit give clear understanding of the theoretical part.
