This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit 18 covered modals, phrasal verbs, and passive voice. It contains several charts depicting the types of sentence structures that accompany modals and passive voice as well as discussing some ground rules for their use. I found the phrasal verb section to be a bit lacking in content. Unlike the rest of the material, there were not many examples or helpful tips for how to teach phrasal verbs. I would have appreciated it if this section could have been extended a bit more and gone a bit deeper into the topic. As a native speaker, I find that I sometimes overlook or forget the why certain structures function the way they do. It is helpful when the chapters include teaching tips and more detailed explanations because it forces me to think like a language learner.
