The purpose of this unit was to review the appropriate way to plan a lesson. The material cautioned the importance of planning a lesson, but not scripting the lesson or becoming so rigid that there is no flexibility within the class. It identified the plan itself as an aid to planning and a written record so you, as the teacher, can look back to see what the class was working on as the months go on. Additionally, it helps you as the teacher to plan moving forward, reflect on how the lesson went, and plan for the future. It then applied lesson planning to specific lessons of foreign language learning and provided a potential outline for a lesson plan. As a teacher, it was helpful to see how to apply another subject area to a lesson plan.
