I can again compare and contrast what I am learning in this course with my French learning experiences. I recall my placement testing, including the written and interview portions, and now realize that those activities were all part of a well-established process. My on-going progress was monitored by my teachers, of course, but I did have the occasional progress test and my final, external exams. Fascinating to now learn about the various assessment tools, and at the same time recall how I felt as the student in that process. I feel I will have a strong appreciation for what my future students will be feeling.
