In this unit I have learned how to teach productive skills : speaking and writing, what is a difference between accuracy and fluency and in which phases of a lesson they should be taught. Speaking activities can be controlled - in the study phase, or guided - in an accuracy based activity in a study or activate phase , or creative - in the fluency based activity in the activate stage. In this unit I have learned how to encourage students to speak by using certain techniques. I also learned some guidelines on what to do before, during and after the speaking activities. In teaching writing skills , we should consider handwriting, spelling and punctuation, and distinguish between creative and situational writing.
