The content of this unit mainly featured vocabulary, grammar and functions. This unit showed the connection between vocabulary, grammar and functions.
For vocabulary, the unit highlighted how to select vocabulary for your students, while understanding what needs to know about vocabulary. This unit also outlined and stated techniques for vocabulary teaching.
Also the unit looked at determining factors for introducing grammar structures with techniques for presenting and practicing them while explaining them through applying ESA methods. And finally, the unit spoke about how to teach language functions through applying ESA methods.
I learnt how to put vocabulary, grammar structure and language functions into my lessons through ESA methods. Moreover, I learnt that however I may arrange my lesson as a teacher during the study phase, I should always consider four things that my students will need to do with the new language, which are be exposed to it, understand its meaning, understand how its constructed and be able to practice and produce it.
