Unit 2: Teaching and learning Overview. teaching is a profession where the teacher must \"where many different hats\" when interacting with his/her students. This Unit identifies the many roles of the teacher and the learner.
The roles that the teacher must adopt are many, depending on the clientelle and the learning environment. Teaching adults requires a different \"hat\" than teaching children. Working with groups of various language skills is compared with teaching adults one-on-one English.
Different angles of teaching methodology are covered, including, what appears to be ITTT's favorite the Engage-Study-Activate methodology, along with variations of this teaching style. Also, there are recommendations for teaching activities to emphasize the four different language skills. What i learned from this Unit is that the main difference in a Business English course is the level of contextualization. Any activities that you give to your students should have some context is their application of English at the workplace.
