In this unit I learned of methods, techniques, how to give feedback, and defined the different stages of ESA. different teaching approaches included the lexical approach, the silent way, grammar-translation, task-based learing, and more, and each was clearly defined with examples to help clarify an understanding. Emphasis was made on having a balance of these methods and not over relying on one or two. I was given clear examples on hown to elicit thought-provoking questions for \"student discovery.\" The ESA stages were lined out with several different example patterns that work for teachers. The lesson really delve into the different stages, definING each, and explaining different activities to make each one work! Finally, the lesson explained how to give feedback to students, first allowing self-reflection, then peer reflection and finally the teacher helps if necessary. It also explained when it is absolutely necessary to correct, not to over correct or under correct, and to remember praise is more valuable than constant correction.
