This unit discussed the different types of tests that language students can take both within a class as well as outside of class. From what I have read I will be using a lot of practice and progress tests in my course. These tests seem important to me because they allow students to practice for outside tests that they may take while also allowing me to know what they have retained. From my personal experience learning a new language can be very difficult so it is important to test and review different skills as the course goes on. Reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary and grammar are all important aspects of learning a language and these tests can help make that process easier.
