This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In this unit, I learned about teaching pronunciation and phonology to my students, which is really important and at times can be difficult for learners. We talked about Stress, Rhythm, Intonation and the International Phonetic Alphabet.
Intonation is a variation in volume and pitch in a whole sentence. Stress is what gives English its rhythm, beat and it's accent on certain words within a sentence.
The two videos for this unit were actually very helpful as they really show you how you should be teaching the International Phonetic Alphabet and the phonics that will help students with their pronunciation.
