This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit was about modal verbs, the passive voice and phrasal verbs. Again, I would not teach this as a single unit. There are so many complex ideas, rules and charts that this would definitely be many lessons. As with other units, this will be a great resource if/when I teach some of these concepts in the future. I have taught all of these in the past, but admit to forgetting the intricacies soon after the unit is finished. That isn't really a major problem, though. We're not taking this course to teach English grammar in depth. We're introducing parts of speech and grammar that we hope the students will absorb and use correctly, as I myself do, but not necessarily be able to quote the rules and terms. Students won't have the daunting task of having to learn all of this in a single unit.
