This unit was all about Phonology; it indicates the whole sound system of a particular language. Phonology is the study, science, analysis and classification of the physical properties of sounds. This units focus was on stress, rhythm, intonation and the International Phonetic Alphabet and how to teach it so that students can understand how pronunciation in English work.
What I learnt in this unit is how to teach pronunciation and phonology, as a native speaker it comes so naturally it is sometimes so difficult to teach. This unit explains everything quite clear and gives very good teaching techniques that I can't wait to use in my classroom, especially for teaching intonation and pronunciation for individual sounds.
This was a very useful unit.
