Unit 9 is an overview of the different types of course books and materials that could potentially be utilized in teaching an English language class. Authentic material such as magazines, menus, brochures and etc., and created materials such as crosswords, flashcards, word search activities and etc. are the two general types of materials used by teachers. The unit discussed the advantages and disadvantages in using these so it is very beneficial to know these contributing factors so that we may best choose our course materials and books to fit the relevancy and skill levels that adhere to our specified classes.
