This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Difficult students are something that every ESL/EFL teacher including myself must deal with almost daily. Over the years I have had my fair share of students/learners who were either slow, unmotivated/reluctant, or overwhelmed studying English. For the most part, I have used many of the techniques that are detailed in unit 20 and found many of them especially partner roll playing to work very well motivating my younger learners. In the future I will also incorporate using a voice recorder for students to record answers outside of the classroom where they can feel comfortable and confident that they aren't being judged by their peers.
As this being the final unit I would like to take the time to say that I really enjoyed the different units in this course. I have found them to be challenging and a good refresher for teaching. As well, this course was a great provider of new ideas/ activities to ensure that I am doing my best for the students/learners in my classes.
