When a teacher teaches a class room they usually have a number of materials at their disposal. Either through course books, authentic materials, or created materials, these materials will provide the basis of the class for the teacher. The trick is how to choose the correct materials and when. Course books are generally used in most classes, and while not perfect if created well provide a guideline for teaching the class. Authentic materials are a good because they provide outside knowledge and can be very motivational. Created materials usually fit the class perfect and are usually interesting, but can be quite time consuming to create.
