This unit shows how to use ESA methods in grammar, vocabulary and functions when teaching new language. The selecting of vocabulary should be appropriate and students should know the meaning, usage, word grammar, interaction, spelling and pronunciation of the vocabulary. For grammar part, the students will need to know what the language means, how it is used, what the grammatical form is and how it is said. As well as vocabulary and grammar, language also consists of functions (inviting, refusing, agreeing, suggesting, etc.) and teaching functions also includes the appropriacy of the language in terms of the language they use- formal, informal etc.
