As an ESL teacher to young learners, I really enjoyed this unit as it pertained to my work. As I read I found that I am currently implementing many of the teaching strategies from the unit in my classroom. I agree with the unit that when teaching young learners a teacher must not only act as a teacher but also as a performer. It is in my opinion that children learn better when they don't feel like they are learning but are being entertained.
The business and multilingual classes to pertain to me directly but are helpful by giving me a better look at how to prepare for new groups of learners and students. For example learning background information about a company or a school can be useful as a talking and learning objective since both the learner/student and I will have that in common and can help break the ice.
Overall this was a great unit to read and provided useful information for the future.
