The differences between the two styles of teaching and the attitudes given by the teachers were interesting to observe. I felt bad for the students in the first video. I felt that they were not respected and that their teacher had no interest in their learning objectives. The students were adults who took time out of their busy schedules to attend English lessons, and they were not being treated well. I wanted to join the second class because it seemed like a blast - and I am fluent in English! The teacher's smile made a huge difference, and his excitement over the materials, the lesson and the activity was contagious. The students were engaged every second of the class. The videos were wonderful examples of both how not to teach English, and how to teach it.
