A shorter unit. The selection of vocabulary is a very difficult process. How appropriate the vocabulary is to the task and to the future of the students is very important. If a word is definitely going to be in the student's future or is common in English then the timing to teach the word has to be selected well, teachability.
Grammar is often a very heavily prioritised part of English teaching. It gives the basics for the students to form sentences correct and understand the sentences. This helps greatly in both verbal and written understanding.
Both vocabulary and grammar need to balanced correctly for the students to progress to the best of their abilities.
