Students need to feel secure and know that there are some obvious reason for using English or any other language. Activities done needs to be linked to some interesting activities about what they have learnt for the day. Class lessons can be fun and interesting, concentrating on concepts the students have already understood in their home language in this way I think student learn English or any other language to talk about something they already know.
I also believe that student needs continual encouragement as well as praise for what was learnt for the day as a new language can also be daunting as well as fun all at the same time.
