This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit 2 contains the different methodologies of teaching which are Grammar-Translation, Audio-lingualism, PPP, Task-Based Learning, CLT, CLL, The Silent Way, and The Lexical Approach. Deciding which methods to use will be based on your personality, the culture of the students, and their needs. Students need exposure to language, input from the teacher, communicative tasks with other learning possibilities, little to no stress and anxiety for effective learning environment, and encouragement to discover language on their own. Engage, study and activate is a successful method that includes a lot, if not all, of these factors. They can be used in all sorts of different patterns as long as it begins with the engage stage and ends with the activate stage. I am learning of all the different methods, activities and ways of teaching.
