In this unit I have learned that it is the teacher's responsibility to balance the exposure of both authentic and created material
When it comes to the authentic materials, it important that there is enough time for it to be shared in the class and moreso that it is relative to the main lesson point. Based on the teacher's creativity, created materials maybe more flexible in suiting the need of the students. Created materials do require more time based on whats required to prepare for the class.
Course materials has its usage as long as the class is not tailored word for word on the details in the book, teachers should already be able to point out what needs to be substituted, ruled out and any ideas that can be added to better serve the needs of the students.
