In conclusion, this unit introduces four tenses: present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous. Each tense has its own grammatical forms and usages. The three main forms are affirmative, negative and question forms. It is important to identify the tense of sentences from grammatical forms. Also, different usages decide different tenses. Such as, we use present simple tense to describe habitual actions and use present continuous tense to describe the action in progress at the time of speaking. Sometimes it is difficult for students to compare present perfect and present perfect continuous. Through learning this unit, I have a better knowledge of grammar points about the present tenses and how the activities are carried out in activate stage during classes.
