During this unit, I learned about Accuracy activities which are usually part of the study phase and are concentrated on producing correct language. Such activities are usually controlled to ensure accurate reproduction of language. I also learned that Fluency activities are part of activate phase and concentrates on allowing the students to experiment and be creative with language. I learned that we can used guided activities such as model dialogue and guided role play ; and Controlled activities such as drilling. I also learned about the three phases of Engage, study, activate. I learned that during the engage phase we can start with conversations such as how the weather is in their countries. During the study phase we can elicit weather forecast vocabulary and complete various matching and gap-fill exercises. During the activate phase students can write a country name and a month on a card, distribute that to another pair by the teacher and prepare a typical weather forecast for the country
