Unit 3 provides great insight into theories, methods, and techniques that have been used by teachers. The straight arrow ESA is one basic example that I really like because it requires getting the students involved and motivated early by asking thought provoking questions early and getting them to respond giving a clear picture of what they know and need to know. The Boomerang ESA lesson still uses the ESA but allows more flexibility to the lesson keeping it interesting. The patchwork ESA lesson is better suited for higher level students with a greater grasp of the language. A higher level of English will be needed to go through a diverse stages of the patchwork ESA technic and leading to the final challenge and learning objective of the lessons excerises. The unit also provides a great resourse of ideas and suggested activities for the different levels of classes and students.
