This unit featured pronunciation and phonology of the English language. The unit defined both pronunciation and phonology. The unit looked at variations in volume and pitch, which are regarded at intonation. Many examples were given and looked at while techniques for indicating and teaching intonation in wholes sentences were listed and explained.
Moreover the unit looked at stress as it pertains to the unit topic along with stating techniques for indicating and teaching it. The phonemic alphabet and symbols were discussed in detail. The unit also explored the term articulation while listing the speech organs, place of articulation and manner of articulation.
I definitely learnt all aspects of the phonemic alphabet, to read and transcribe texts.
