This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit covers the English grammar of the present tenses. There are four present tenses: the present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and the present perfect continuous tense. These tenses have been explained by showing their affirmative, negative, and question forms and by describing their usages. This unit, in conjunction with the video, does a great job of showing the often slight differences between the sentence structures used with each of the tenses. What seemed very confusing to me at first now seems much more straightforward and logical. The common errors and mistakes often made by students of English are easy to make and even acceptable when speaking in slang terms, but this unit has given great examples of how to address these mistakes and explain the reasoning between the correct usage of the tenses. Many good examples of teaching these tenses during the Activate phase of the lesson have been provided in this unit, as well.
