This unit was very detailed and informative and will prove to be one of the most crucial lessons in this entire course. Many people choose to look over pronunciation and phonology or see it as some kind of secondary knowledge but it is actually extremely important when learning as well as teaching the English language, especially when our alphabet is not phonemic and some words sound completely different yet are spelled the same. This section taught the basics of phonology, intonation, techniques for teaching intonation, the phonemic alphabet, as well as teaching pronunciation ( along with all its' complexities).
