This unit covered different kinds of assessments and how they are used. It distinguished between the different types of assessments that may be used in a course also included some examples of external assessments that English learners might take. I thought it would be good if it had also included some more examples, perhaps of how to assess a speaking test or show more clearly how to use placement tests to place students in different levels. I also thought that I would like to include some progress assessments in my own classes to see whether students are reaching the goals that I have made for the class.
